There are countless variations of halo-halo, but the basis of it is shaved ice, evaporated milk, ice cream, and loaded with different mix-ins. Yes, a mix-mix dessert, and there’s a good reason for why it’s named that way. Halo (ha-loh) means to mix, so in English it means mix-mix. Let’s not forget the best parts, the toppings, ube ice cream, and Leche flan! What is halo-halo?
